The Glitch from White Paper Land
Hello there, little girl. Did you see them leave? Funny, those people. Somebody on the other side said that it’s nice there. That there are no wars, no battles to fight. No heartaches and heartbreaks and no grappling with too much emotions. And then before they can even blink their eyes, they were off. Just like that.Yes little girl, no wars. Now I can sense your enthusiasm. Do you want me to tell you more? You’ll be amazed, I promise. Yup, no wars. Everything they do there is proper. Everything is clean. They are not supposed to hurt each other, not to lay a lightest finger on another. You see, people there are intensely reactive. Well, that’s what I think. Rub them a little and they burn. They rage. Try touching them and they will crumble. Send them a gust of wind and they freeze. And so everything they do is in order, calculated. So when you’re there, you have to be extra careful of your actions.
So little girl, what do you think? Ah yes, what about the glitches. The glitches. The stains on this white paper land. As I have said, people there are intense. And even more in removing the glitches, in erasing them. They sweat like hell when they try to rub them off the place. While they are burned, or in rage, have fallen apart, or frozen. Especially when they are frozen. Frozen hearts, merciless, almost barbaric. They don’t give a chance for the glitches to clean up their messes. That’s right, they monopolize forgiveness there. They think they’re God. They could erase you in a day, even if you have always tried hard to live a highly proper life. Everything good about you will be negated as it won’t matter what or who you have been before a glitch happens. Do you feel scared now little girl? It’s okay. Don’t cry. Unforgiving people are the scariest people in the world.
And I’d have to say that yes, I was once a glitch. Oh, don’t be surprised. How do you think I got to know that? I used to be there living this life I loved. Who would’ve thought I’d die there? Glitches always die there. But, I tried to fight it, really. I tried hard. You know, little girl, with people who think they’re God, you don’t stand a chance. And it makes me wonder why, when those white paper land monopolists had been glitches themselves. Lucky that they were in a time when glitches weren’t called as such, when they were not erased that easily. I saw them before, when they were down on their knees. When they were finally allowed to stand up, they began taking positions an acted like gods. Sometimes, I still wonder why people go there.
I came back here after I was erased. Of course here, there are wars and heartaches and heartbreaks. And I fight them all here, together with the memory of white paper land and its people’s brutality. Difficult, yes, but at least it’s more human? That people here are capable of forgiving. In here, glitches are never removed. We have a God here that gives us an eternity of second chances.
Little girl, I ask for you to stay. Yes? I thought, I don’t want you to end up like them. Or like me. You see, if you just stay here you will never have to, I
